Peak Fees, 2013
Pakistan
In 2013 the Pakistan Government continued with existing peak royalties. To recap, these are: (1) no peak fee for mountains below 6,500m; (2) only 10% of the normal peak fee for any mountain situated in Gilgit and Ghizer, except Spantik; (3) 5% of the normal peak fee for any mountain attempted during the winter (December-February, not the calendar winter dates); a 40% discount on all others, so that for peaks 6,501m-7,000m a full team of seven members will pay $900, plus an extra $120 for each additional member. Corresponding figures for higher peaks are: 7,001m-7,500m ($1,500 and $180); 7,501m-8,000m ($2,400 and $300); 8,001m-8,500m ($5,400 and $900); K2 ($7,200 and $1,200). The trekking fee, where payable, remains at $50 per person, per month.
