Nevado Pariacacca Norte, Traverse. The twin Nevados Tuyujuto or Pariacacca (5756m and 5701m) belong to the Cordillera de Huarochiri (locally also called Pariacacca), some 100 kilometers east of Lima. Gonzalo Menacho and I reached the area of Lake Huaylacancha (4250m) by car, where we camped in order to acclimatize. We then climbed above Tembladera Lake and placed a camp near the ice. On May 20, we ascended Pariacacca II Norte (5701m) by its north ridge, following a few variants up a rocky rib. We then descended by the south ridge, having accomplished the traverse of this peak.
