Nun, Kun and Pinnacle Peak. A large number of expeditions now climb in this area. Among the successful parties on Nun (7135 meters, 23,410 feet) were French led by Gunther Steinmar on the west ridge on July 14, Japanese Tadikuyo Sakahara, Ryoichi Okabayashi, Hitoshi Yamaguchi and Daisaku Tomura on the west ridge in August, Spanish led by Carlos Sole Estabelle, French led by Jean-Pierre Boyer on the east ridge in August. Kun (7077 meters, 23,220 feet) was climbed by French led by Dominique Marquis in July, by French led by Jean-Pierre Bernard by the east ridge in August and Germans led by Arnold Hasenkopf by the west ridge in August. Pinnacle Peak (6930 meters, 22,737 feet) was ascended by French led by Marc Prat in September and by Austrians led by Karl Robert Zwickl in October.
