North America, United States, Alaska, Mendenhall Towers Traverse

Publication Year: 1984.

Mendenhall Towers Traverse. In August 1982 Dick Ellesworth and Bruce Lulla traversed all the Mendenhall Towers from west to east in a seven-day period. They started with the Rabbit Ears Spire and continued along the ridge. The seven nights in bivouacs were mostly stormy and they were tied down for two days by storm with wet blowing snow. They reported the climbing as straight-forward, up to 5.9 and A2.
