Grytetippen and Breitinden: Possible New Routes

In February 2014, Vincent Perrin, Bas Visscher, and I climbed a possible new line on the southwest side of Grytetippen (890m), near Fjordgård. According to the local mountain guide Bent Vidar Eilertsen, this 600m face had only one line on it, an easy snow couloir. Our route follows an obvious couloir in the center of the face. We called it No Time for Tea (WI4 M4) because of the British team climbing close to us, Tim Blakemore and Twid Turner, who did a new line that was quite hard (WI5 M7+). They called their route Pass the Dutchie.

Visscher and Perrin also climbed a possible new line on the north face of the Breitinden: Grasshopper Gully (400m, AI5 M4).
