Washington, Mt. Rainier National Park—On September 5, Mr. Sam Raether (24) was rescued from east wall of Nisqually Glacier moraine after being stranded for six hours. He was removed by National Park Service rescue team at 11:30 p.m. No injuries. Inexperience and unequipped climbing on rotten rock contributed to this incident.
