A.A.C., Cascade Section. In May the Section hosted the Board of Directors meeting in Seattle. This was followed by a potluck dinner and Diana Dailey’s slides of the American Women’s Expedition to Dhaulagiri I. In August we helped sponsor a reception and slide presentation by Sir Edmund Hillary on Mount Everest to raise funds for the Everest East Face Expedition.

At the annual banquet in December the program included Andy Harvard on the Everest East Face Expedition and Steve Swenson on the second ascent of the north face of Mount Alberta in the Canadian Rockies.
