Publication Year: 1966.

Attempt on Mir Samir. Permission for an expedition led by Dr. A. James of the University of Newcastle-on-Tyne to Chitral was canceled and so the twelve members visited the Panjshir valley in the Afghan Hindu Kush. They attempted to climb Mir Samir, which is 19,059 feet, but inclement weather prevented this.
