Publication Year: 2026.
In September 2024, after two weeks of work, Christian Cattell, Camden Clements, Kevin Crum, and John Greer completed a long free route on the upper southeast face of Tehipite Dome in Kings Canyon National Park. There and Back Again (1,800’, 12 pitches, IV 5.11+ PG-13) starts on a prominent buttress between Astro Gil (Nelson-Reed-Wilson, 2012) and One for the Homies (Evans-Nicodemi), with the crux leads all found in the first four pitches. It then continues up the Ocean, a broad expanse of slab climbing. The route is fully independent of prior lines on the face. Details are at Mountain Project.
