In September 2024, Dave MacLeod and Calum Muskett (both from Scotland) opened a probable new route called Line Dancing (E5 6b) on the left side of Stetind’s southwest face. After one attempt cut short by high wind, the two returned and completed the 500m line, then continued up the classic west ridge to the summit (800m total).

Line Dancing on the southwest face of Stetind. Calum Muskett was leading what they hoped would be the last pitch on the yellow line but ran out of protection opportunities and reasonable climbing about seven meters below the ridge. After trying an alternate route, they reversed course down to a ledge, and Dave MacLeod found a rising traverse to the left (red line) to escape the wall.
