Outsider: A Life with the Elephants and Mountains of Africa, by Iain Allen (Vanguard). A page-turning memoir from one of Kenya’s most renowned climbers and guides.
Secret Plans: Vol. III; 40+ Years of Cartoons for Climbers, by Tami Knight (Tellwell Talent). Climbing is serious but also absurd—no one is better at showing us how to laugh at ourselves than Tami Knight.
Tap Dancing on Everest, by Mimi Zieman (Falcon Guides). Zieman’s memoir describes her time as medical support for the four-person Kangshung Face of Everest team in 1988.
