About five kilometers south of Chhopa Bamare, along the frontier ridge, is an unnamed snow summit of 5,805m (28°0’42.43”N, 86°5’7.24”E). On December 29, 2023, eight days after reaching their base camp, a Nepalese team comprising Lila Bahadur Basnet, Bhabindra Khadka, Sanjeeb Oli, Lakpa Geli Sherpa, Nima Gyalzen Sherpa, and Phurba Thile Sherpa made the first ascent of this summit, approaching up the glacier to the northeast and finishing up the north-northwest ridge. The climbers, belonging to two mountaineering/trekking agencies, aimed to add another suitable peak to Nepal’s list of official trekking peaks and to promote a little-visited area.
