Starting in 2022, a volunteer team of climbers from China began translating Accidents in North American Climbing (ANAC), in order to make the book available to Chinese speakers anywhere in the world. The American Alpine Club (AAC) authorized these translations, with the goal of making the book's valuable lessons available to more climbers.

Four editions have now been translated. To date, there have been more than 25,000 downloads of the Chinese edition PDFs, and more than 7,000 copies of printed books in Chinese have been delivered.
