The 1993 classic Yankee Rock & Ice: A History of Climbing in the Northeastern United States (Stackpole, $19.95), by Laura and Guy Waterman, was published in a new edition in 2018, with four new chapters by Michael Wejchert and a foreword by Sarah Garlick. Stories Behind the Images: Lessons from a Life in Adventure Photography (Mountaineers Books, $29.95) is an autobiographical look back at memorable photos by Corey Rich, a climber and photographer whose work has graced over 100 magazine covers. Philosopher and ’60s Yosemite climber Michael P. Cohen’s Granite and Grace: Seeking the Heart of Yosemite describes his decades-long love affair with Tuolumne granite (University of Nevada Press, $21.95). Find John P.
