Author: Marcello Sanguineti. Climb Year: 2017. Publication Year: 2017.

Italian climbers Manrico Dell’Agnola, Daniele Canale, Tommaso Lamantia, Giovanni Pagnoncelli, and Marcello Sanguineti spent the first half of January 2017 in Oman, visiting the Western Hajar mountains and climbing several new routes. At Jebel Fokha (Al Hamra Towers), they climbed two 270m routes: Mia nei Giardini di Zaherd (9 pitches, 6b+) and Bahla coi Lupi (7 pitches, 6c+). On the Wall of Shadows in Wadi Bani Awf, they did No Wind, No Wine (210m, 5 pitches, 6b+). In Wadi Nakhar, they climbed Ma che Guhl! (100m, 3 pitches, 6a). And in Wadi Tanuf, they climbed Fantasia Trad (410m, 8 pitches, 6b). Some bolts were placed for protection and anchors, but all routes require a rack of traditional protection.
