On March 23, Argentine climbers Charly Contartese, Esteban Degregori, and Juancho Torres opened a new route in the granite towers known as Agujas del Sosneado, on Torre Blanca de Ectelion. This is the second route on the tower and is located left of Chaparral (AAJ 2015). The route begins with an easy 200m ramp, which was ascended unroped. Above, they took an obvious route up the center-right side of the tower, climbing five pitches to the summit. Part of the route has rotten rock. They called it Jumanji (475m, 6c). The group also climbed Torre Principal via the older route Nalgas de Loncho (450m, 7b+). [See guiasosneado.blogspot.com for an online guide to this area, with many photos and route descriptions.]
