Prusik Peak, South Face, Der Milkman

In late July, Gaelen Engler and I climbed a probable new route up Prusik Peak’s south face, finding crack systems that led to the top. Our route started far right of other recorded routes, and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the climbing. Most of the cracks had a fair to significant amount of lichen in them, and we saw no obvious signs of previous passage. We finished on the final short pitch of the Beckey-Davis Route to the summit. We called it Der Milkman (650’, 5.9). It could be a near classic with some cleaning.
