On September 14, Zhou Peng and I climbed Peak 5,955m, a summit among the small knot of peaks south of the main road that runs southwest from Yangbajain, along the south side of the Nyanchen Tanglha. The following day we climbed Peak 6,192m (29°51’21.73”N, 90°12’58.71”E), the highest mountain in this group. We accessed both peaks by walking up the long river valley running south from the road. We climbed the steep north face and west-northwest ridge of 6,192m, and the northwest ridge of 5,955m.
