Abi (5,694m), southeast ridge

China, Qionglai Mountains, Siguniang National Park
Author: Lindsay Griffin, Mountain INFO. Climb Year: 2012. Publication Year: 2013.

Marion Poitevin, Christian Trommsdorff (French), and Gugu and Li Zhongli (Chinese) climbed Abi as a joint venture involving the French Groupe de Haute Montagne and the Chinese Mountain Development Institute. (Climbs in the Daogou Valley and on Daogou peak, reported elsewhere in this section, also were part of this collaborative effort.) These four summited Abi by the southeast ridge, finding signs of a previous ascent (700m, D+ M5). As reported in AAJ 2011, Abi has been climbed by Chinese mountaineers several times from the southeast and southwest. Prior to their visit to the Siguniang region, the team climbed together at the sandstone cragging area close to Liming.
