Keith Ladzinski, Mike Libecki, Angie Payne, and Ethan Pringle visited the Mythics Cirque at roughly the same time as the team that named it (see report here) and completed numerous difficult boulder problems and two new routes on Ataatap Tower (a.k.a., Father or Daddy’s Tower, ca 1,350m). Libecki made the first ascent via a three-hour solo of the south ridge (5.8), then with Pringle climbed the north-facing Built Fjord Tough pillar (1,060m, V 5.12 A2) in a 54-hour push from a bivouac 200m up the route (62 hours including descent). The route was climbed free except for one five-meter wet/rotten section. A feature article on this expedition appeared in the 2012 AAJ.
