FALL ON ROCK

On July 5, Kananaskis Emergency Services were notified by D. S. of a climbing accident on the Calgary Route of Mount Yamnuska. They responded by heli-slinging several rescuers to the base of the route. The rescuers climbed to the victim. J. H. was found conscious and stable with a possible broken hand, dislocated shoulder and other injuries. J. H. had taken a leader fall at approximately 1400, falling 30 feet after loosing his balance while trying to place gear.
