FALL ON ROCK, NUT FAILURE

We have begun receiving reports from this relatively new climbing area. In this instance, it was reported that a climber fell while leading. He was just short of the top when he slipped and his uppermost nut placement failed. He fell 100 feet and died a few days later of head injuries. It is not known if he was wearing a hard hat.
