British Columbia, Glacier National Park. On August 4, Joseph Shlitz, Harriet Deleuran, Anne Stettner, and Louvonia Rudolf were ascending the Illecillewaet Glacier, practicing ice technique en route to the summit of Lookout Mountain. The four members were roped together as a team. The last one on the rope slipped and pulled the remainder down about 70 ft. into the rocks below. Joseph Shlitz, Harriet Deleuran, and Anne Stettner were bruised and shaken but Louvonia Rudolf suffered broken bones, concussion, and back injuries. Dr. R. W. Angel, a member of the Club diagnosed the injuries on the spot. A Park rescue team recovered the climbers that afternoon and they were taken to Revelstoke Queen Victoria Hospital.
