Mt. Bradley, Season of the Sun; Mt. Church, Memorial Gate; Mt. Johnson, The Ladder Tube. Japanese climbers Fumitaka Ichimura, Yusuke Sato, and Tatsuro Yamada established three impressive new routes in the Ruth Gorge in April and early May. Season of the Sun (4,600', V WI4R M6R) climbs Mt. Bradley (9,100') via its southeast face; Memorial Gate (3,600', V AI4+R/X) climbs Mt. Church (8,233’) via the central gully on its north face; and The Ladder Tube (3,000', V 5.10R A3 WI4+R M5) climbs Mt. Johnson (8,460') via the north face and west ridge.
