The Muñeca, La Muñequita. This 5,000' peak, 30 miles west of the Potrero Chico, was previously unclimbed because of the vertical sandstone capstone (100' to 300', depending on which side). However, there are several good-looking cracks on every side, and in October Rochelle Rochon, Hervey Peña, and I took the obvious splitter on the west face. The route, La Muñequita, was grade III 5.8, and we rapped the low point back to the north ridge. Full rack and single rope.
