Asia, Nepal, Langtang Himal, Yansa Tsenjui Attempt
Publication Year: 2004.
Yansa Tsenji attempt. A British commercially-organized expedition led by David Pritt was unsuccessful in an attempt on the east ridge of this recently opened 6,643m peak on the north side of the Langtang Valley (northeast of Kyanjin Gompa). The team reached a high point of 6,120m on October 20. Although it is well-known that many if not most of the peaks above the Langtang have seen unauthorized ascents in the past, there is no officially-recorded ascent for this mountain, which is also known as Dragpoche Ri.
