Mt. Noijin Kangsa, Ascent. The Japan Teacher’s Party 2000 Noijin Kangsa expedition consisted of one person, Tadakiyo Sakahara. The goal was to climb Mt. Noijin Kangsa (7206m, 29.9° N, 90.1° E) by the east ridge. The dates of the expedition were July 27 to August 14.I set up the following camps: Base Camp and Camps I and II at 5100, 5754, and 6374 meters on 7, and 8. Camp I was the summit of P3 (Peak 3 on the east ridge). Camp II was the summit of P2 (Peak 2 on the east ridge). P2 is the east summit of Mt. Noijin Kangsa. On August 9,I set out at 4:30 a.m. and reached the summit at 11:57 a.m. I stayed on the summit for only two minutes, because I was attacked by lightning. I fell into a hidden crevasse near the summit on the descent and was back in CII at 1:55 p.m. I lost the descent route on the snow wall of the East Peak (P2). It snowed on the East Peak. I was back in CI at 3:55 p.m.
