Little Switzerland, Various Ascents. It was reported in a Climbing magazine article that the team of John Mattson and Josh Zimmerman, with photographer John Burcham, was active in Little Switzerland. Numerous photographs of the area document the team’s efforts, which include The Jester (5.10b, seven pitches) on the east face of Royal Highness and The Blade (5.10d), a variation to The Jester. Reference is made to ascents of “roughly ten routes, both new and existing, ranging from 5.7 to 5.12.” Other climbs appear to have been made on the Plunger, the Throne and the south face of the Middle Troll. Further details are lacking. (Climbing 196)
