River Road Area, Various Ascents. Along the River Road (east of Moab), O’Grady (5.12+) was climbed in September by Jay Smith and Kitty Calhoun. This route is just right of Lighthouse Tower above Big Bend Recreation Area. In the same area in February, one crack system left of Dolomite Wall, Smith and Calhoun put up Clearlight (IV 5.11+R). At Mile Marker 12, Nuke ’em Rafi (5.11 a Al), was established by Jay Miller and Andy Roberts in June.

In the Richardson Amphitheater area of the River Road, Brad Bond and Alden Strong climbed the East Face (5.9 A2, 200') of the Stinger. Indian Chief Tower up above mile marker 28, named after its distinctive profile, was climbed by a two-pitch 5.7. The first ascent was claimed by the FBI (Fat Bastards International) in March.
