Cordillera Real, Various Ascents. It was reported that in September, 1995, the French team of Michèle Vegezzi, J.P. Boulangié and Yves Astier climbed Cerro Khunu (5458 m) via a large 300- meter couloir on the southeast face, encountering ice and mixed climbing up to 60 degrees. They also made the first ascent of a five-pitch ice fall on Cerro Wajra Apacheta (5600 m) on the left bank of the glacier. (Vertical)
