Texas Canyon, Lone Star. On November 10, Jon Butler, Jesse Harvey and I made the first ascent of Lone Star, a 460-foot tower located just 400 feet northwest of Texas Tower, in Texas Canyon. Jon and Jesse had fixed two pitches on a previous trip to Texas Canyon before all three of us climbed two more pitches to the summit on November 9 and 10. We called our route Creatures From The Black Saloon (IV 5.7 A1).
