Thor Peak, South Face, Odin’s Wrath. Odin’s Wrath (III-IV 5.10d) ascends a line between Satan’s Delight and Truncated Buttress on Thor Peak. The line can be very vaguely seen in the right margin of the photo on page 47 of R.J. Secor’s High Sierra guide. However, this photo is poorly marked; the Pink Perch is higher and farther right than indicated, and the right-hand (class 4) gully approach to the Pink Perch is farther right than shown. We started left of this gully approach to the Pink Perch and climbed a 5.7 pitch to intersect the gully. We continued above in mostly right-facing corners with a classic 5.10 hand crack on the fifth pitch. The sixth pitch moved left on a horizontal break, and the seventh (crux) pitch involved face climbing past two poor bolts above a crack. Three more pitches followed. Eric Tipton and I climbed it in September.
