Comment: The Piz Badille was a rite of passage in the days of Buhl, Terray, Gervasutti, Cassin and Rebuffat, who wrote that coffee table classic, The Hundred Finest Routes in the Gergell-Disgrazia-Engadine. But the region has not been on the hit list of many U.S. climbers. This jewel of a book could change that: smaller than a pocket book, it is a model of compact design, clear writing, plus first-rate topos and photos. (JT)
