Annapurna II, III and IV Attempts. It was reported that a three-member Serbian expedition led by Slobodan Gejo attempted Annapurna II via the Standard Route, which begins up the northwest ridge of Annapurna IV. They reached 6483 meters on Annapurna IV in October. The American/German team led by Craig Calonica and Pavel Dolecek reached the same height on their Annapurna IV attempt. Tsutomu Saito led a four-man expedition to the summit of Annapurna III on October 2. Saito and two Sherpas reached the summit via the West Ridge. (High Mountain Sports 161)
