Kamet and Abi Gamin Ascents. A Jat Regiment expedition of the Indian Army led by Major Sonam Thapa reached the top of Abi Gamin (7355 meters) on June 15, while Kamet was climbed by Hav. Kalam Singh, Hav. Vijay Singh and the leader. On June 16 Hav. Vijay Singh became a summitter on both the peaks, climbing them on successive days. This was a 17-member team and they established five camps up to Meade’s Col.
