Satopanth. There were three successful expeditions to Satopanth (7075 meters, 23,540 feet), which climbed the normal north ridge. These were 6 South Koreans led by Jo Joong-Il, 7 Irishmen led by Ciaran Clissman and 3 Japanese led by Yoshihiki Yamanaka. Koreans Seo Ki-Suk, Han Myung-Hee (f), Jung Woo-Chang and Oh Sung-Eun reached the top on the expedition’s third try on May 27. Irishman Paul Harrington was the sole summiter on October 10. Leader Yamanaka, Masaru Sato and Kiyoshi Yamashita with porters Kedar Singh Rana and Laxman Singh Rana reached the top on September 24.
