Colorado National Monument. The south face of Grand View Spire was climbed by Mike Baker, Michael Kennedy and Bob Wade (IV, 5.10, 5 pitches). Balanced Rock (5.6, A0+), located on the drive into the Monument, was climbed by John Middendorf and Cameron Burns. Phantom Spire, which lies opposite the Devil’s Disciples, was climbed by Baker and Leslie Henderson (II, 5.8, A3). Little Bighorn Pinnacle (5.7, A2) was climbed by Baker, Henderson and Lindsey Archer. The tower is in a small box canyon between Devil’s Canyon and Fruita Canyon, visible when looking south while approaching the west entrance to the Monument.
