North America, United States, Utah, "Frankenstein" and Echo Pinnacle, Moab, 1992

Publication Year: 1994.

“Frankenstein” and Echo Pinnacle, Moab, 1992. In May, 1992, Mike Baker soloed a big new tower ¼ mile before the Bride, which he called “Frankenstein” (IV, 5.9, A3). Baker did it in five pitches, but he expects subsequent parties will climb it in four, probably free. Baker and Leslie Henderson also did a prominent line on the west face of Echo Pinnacle, No Reply (II, 5.9+, A2). The route asends the obvious crack system near the south edge of the west face. (See page 228 of Bjørnstad’s Desert Rock for the approach.)
