Aleutian Islands. An expedition of the Nagano Prefecture Alpine Association of Japan to the Aleutian Islands was led by Ichiro Yoshizawa, a different person from the one of that name who has been a member of the American Alpine Club. From July 14 to August 11, they made a number of ascents: on Unalaska Island, Makushin (2036 meters); on Akutan Island, Akutan (1296 meters); on Unimak, Shishardin (2869 meters) and Isanotski (2471 meters); on Umnak, Vesvidov (2149 meters) and Lecheshnoi (1982 Meters); on Atka, Koroguin (1533 meters) and Kruchev (1451 meters).
