Nanga Purbat, Diamir Face. Czechs Josef Rakoncaj, leader, Josef Nežerka, Michal Bruner, Martin Kejr, Miroslav Mžourek and German Günter Koch established Base Camp below the Diamir Face on June 12. Camps were placed on the Kinshofer route. After a five-day ascent, Rakoncaj and Nežerka reached the summit of Nanga Parbat at three P.M. on July 4. For Rakoncaj, this was the sixth 8000er and for Nežerka the second. Mžourek fell ill and had to leave early.
