Publication Year: 1993.

Hagshu Attempt. Englishman John Barry has made several unsuccessful attempts to climb Hagshu by a new route, the north face. He was back again in September, 1992, accompanied by Bevis Bowden and D.J. “Smiler” Cuth- bertson. The 3500-foot-high face has steep, mixed climbing. This year they were able to get up only 400 meters, some 200 meters lower than their 1989 high point.
