Mana and P 5730. A 19-member Indian Army Ordnance Corps expedition was led by Captain S.P. Malik. They approached from the west via the Nagthuni Glacier and the Gupta Khal. The team was involved in an avalanche on June 11 and injured members had to be evacuated. On June 19, Captain M.C. Jaykrish- nan, Lance Naik S.K. Rao and Sepoys N.S. Rawal, Surbeer Chand, Rajendra Singh and Kundan Singh reached the summit (7272 meters, 23,860 feet). Earlier, on June 11, Captain Malik, Captain B.R Singh, Naik Subedar S.K. Dogra, Havaldars A.C.K. Singh, D. Deb, N.S. Tamang, Lance Naik D. Limboo

and Sepoy N.S. Negi climbed P 5730 (18,799 feet), which rises above the Gupta Khal. They ascended from Camp IV.
