Mount Chamberlain, Mount Whitney Area; Incredible Hulk, Little Slide Canyon; Outguard Spire, Little Slide Canyon. In September, Julie Brugger and I climbed a new route to the left of the Fiddler-Harrington route on the north face of Mount Chamberlain (V, 5.11a; 13 pitches.) The line follows the dihedral and thin-crack system on the left side of the wall. We found two rappel bolts on the first two pitches. In August, we two climbed what we think is a new route (IV, 5.10a; 10 pitches) to the left of “Positive Vibrations” on the west face of the Incredible Hulk in Little Slide Canyon. Exact details about climbs on the wall seem sketchy; whether ours was new or not is irrelevant because of the quality of the climb. We climbed cracks and comers up an obvious cracked break on the right side of the wall. We rappelled the route. Also in August, Julie Brugger and I climbed a new six-pitch route (III, 5.10c) up cracks a few feet to the right of the southeast arête of Outguard Spire, also in Little Slide Canyon. We descended the southwest arête en rappel.
