Asia, Mongolia, The Seven Summits in Seven Months, 1990

Publication Year: 1992.

The Seven Summits in Seven Months, 1990. New Zealanders Rob Hall and Gary Ball reached the summits of the seven continents in just seven months of 1990. (It must be stated that they consider Mount Kosciusko in Australia and not Carstensz Pyramid in Australasia as one of these. The Editor takes no sides in this dispute.) They made the following ascents: Everest, May 10; McKinley, June 28; Elbrus, August 8; Kilimanjaro, August 17; Kosciusko, August 26; Aconcagua, November 21; Vinson Massif, December 12.
