Rødebjerg, East Greenland. An expedition was in the Angmagssalik area from July 2 to August 1. The leader was Scot Jackie Gorden, accompanied by Scot Wendy Gudmundsson and Englishmen Graham Butler and Nigel Dyson. They flew by helicopter to the Håbets Gletscher and spent two weeks there. They made the first British ascent of Rødebjerg (2140 meters, 7021 feet) and made five other first ascents. The conditions were perfect and there were no problems with glaciers, crevasses, etc. They returned on skis via Slangens Pass to Sermiliqaq Fjord by the Karale Gletscher and from there by boat to Kap Dan (Kulusuk).
