Moosh Mustagh, Kun Lun. Yuji Watanabe was the leader of 24 Japanese to Moosh Mustagh. They arrived at Base Camp at 4800 meters on July 28. Two camps were placed on the Mustagh Glacier and Camp III was occupied at 5860 meters on the east ridge on August 7. After a summit try on August 12 failed at 6230 meters, Camp IV was established at 6250 meters. On August 19, the leader and Yoshibumi Ishizawa climbed to the summit (6638 meters, 21,780 feet).
