Gangstang. A seven-man expedition of the Japanese Alpine Club, led by Tsuneo Suzuki, climbed Gangstang (6162 meters, 20,215 feet) by its southwest ridge. On August 8, T. Ishikawa, H. Honjo, M. Natsume and two high-altitude porters climbed to the top from Camp III. They were followed on the 11th by H. Yamaguchi, S. Tamura and three porters and on the 12th by Suzuki, S. Inabe and three porters.
