Aconcagua, South Face, Ascent by First Argentine Woman and Twins. Probably the youngest two climbers to ascend the south face of Aconcagua were the twins Carolina and Horacio Codo. She is also the first Argentine woman to have made the climb. In order to acclimatize, they first ascended the route of the Glaciar de los Polacos, reaching the summit on January 22 on the second day of their ascent. They then took five days to climb the Messner route on the south face, reaching the summit on February 1.
