Sudarshan Parbat, East Ridge. Nobuaki Yamada, Hiroyuki Fujimura, Miss Tomoko Maeda, Kensei Ojima, Shigeo Yoneda and I as leader established Base Camp at 4600 meters on May 4. Camps I and II were placed on the Svetvarn Glacier at 5200 and 5800 meters on May 8 and 11. The latter was at the beginning of the east ridge. On May 14, Ojima, Yoneda and Fujimura climbed up the east ridge but fresh snow over ice prevented their getting to the summit. The same three, with Miss Maeda, left Camp II on May 16 and reached the summit (6507 meters, 21,350 feet) at 1:30 P.M.
