P 10,500+, North of Queen Mary, Saint Elias Mountains, Icefield Ranges. After a week of poor flying weather, Bill Proudman, Deb Caughron, Bobby Bonnet, Peter Hampson and I abandoned our original goal of Mount Kennedy and flew to the large unnamed glacier five miles north of Mount Queen Mary at 8500 feet. The next day, May 13, in excellent weather, we climbed P 10,500+ three miles north of Queen Mary by its west ridge. We skied and hiked the 70 odd miles out of the range. Pulling sleds we swung north to the major glacier system seven miles south of Donjek Mountain and then down onto the Kaskawulsh Glacier. Sleds, radio and climbing gear were then flown out, allowing us a lightweight three-day and 45-mile ski and hike down the Kaskawulsh and out Slims River to the Alaska Highway.
